Yes, it is possible to access PS2 HDD in Linux using pfsshell or hdl_dump.can the linux os access the pcmcia hdd or will that only work when the ps2 hdd is active? for me it only turned on when opl was running
It's better and faster to open it and copy from PC.do you have any commands for me on the tool or would it be better to just open it and copy it from a pc?
Don't defrag your USB - you will kill your flash, check this article:These are the two main settings menus, there is nothing stating about padenu.
you want me to defrag a flash drive, wont that break the flash drive?
It is better not to run any app with HDD attached cause you can remove temp partitions that can contain useful data. But you already run OPL with it - that means that +OPL partition is already created which is not good. Detach your HDDs, make backups, and post it in this thread:ok, if i were to image my japanese external ps2 hdd would you be interested in that? it might have some ps2bb stuff
For browsing HDDs you can use this program on windows:do you have any commands for me on the tool or would it be better to just open it and copy it from a pc?

Thank God mine didn't have that. Mine is just a copper pad.If you ever wonder why your DTL smells horrible, it's probably this sponge that's deteriorating, had to remove it on 2 of my kits, thankfully wasn't present on the DTL-T15000, it makes an awful mess if you leave it too long
Construction changed slightly over the years it seemsThank God mine didn't have that. Mine is just a copper pad.
not sureWhat was the year of your kit with the foam pad, mine with the copper pad was Feb 2000
