Does the case come with any sort of replacement shell for the modem? If so, does it also fit the BBA? Looking at my BBA and the modem, the LAN port is slightly larger than the phone line port on the modem.

EDIT: What do you mean by "internal SD"?
There's a shell that seems to be made for the modem, I don't own a BBA so I can't tell.

I mean serial SD, but wired internally using Helder's PCB.

I'm unfamiliar with this, and googling I can't seem to find what you're talking about, mind linking me? I'm curious.

EDIT: Same as last time, found it immediately after messaging you haha. Nice!

oh no, soft SPI very slow, need use G2 (modem CS) or FlashROM adress space
Then what do you mean new mod usb? I thought you meant serial usb. I have GDEmu for games. I'd make a PCB with a switch to select the serial-usb, serial-sd, or nothing (in case I want to use a cable).

is USB U-DISK module with serial/SPI/PARALLEL interface
serial and SPI very slow
I want to connect it to a parallel interface
it is possible to use not used address space of the modem or flashrom
That's a nice project! Keep us updated if it works out!

I like the "THIS IS COOL" printing, too. I have passed your idea to the the project initiator. He said he's trying different design and printing technique. Currently the "THIS IS COOL" and "SEGA" logo are implement using silk screen printing. He's trying water transfer printing for larger and better colored logo design and trying to make it batch producible. But still need quite a lot time to make it perfect. For the water transfer printing reference effect in experimenting, just check the attachment.(Arsenal team mark is water transfer printing, and text around the shell is single color silk screen printing)

And the swirl label maybe still pre-attached for that's already done in production factory. You can take it down by rub it slightly clockwise/counterclockwise(to make the glue be softer). And more label design maybe created and sell separately in future.

I think having a colored Windows CE label for them like on the license screen could be really cool.

Ack, wrong direction! Personally I want this logo off of my Dreamcast, not made more prominent. :p

Also, Japanese consoles say "Licensed for Microsoft Windows CE" and other consoles say "Compatible with Microsoft Windows CE" so depending on how serious some people are about being 'genuine,' they might want their text to match their original console, meaning two different case runs...

no

no

IDE mod use 16 bit bus with DMA
USB use 8 bit bus and don't have DMA
by my calculations maximum speed of 10-12 Mbps
So you expect little less speed, but a little more convenience? Could it be used as a faster coder's-cable–like interface?

is replace for SD mod, USB faster and have plug'n'play
USB can work with coders cable, SD no
i can't use IDE with GDEMU, but i can use USB

Could it be used as a faster coder's-cable–like interface?

CH376 can work as USB DEVICE, need only write driver
