I wrote this guide because I have had several people ask how I got the game to load. Huge shoutout to Qwtrz#9666 for helping get this game working and for the method.
How to play Need for Speed Rivals prototypes

Requirements:

PS3 Test or Tool (CEX converted to DEX will also work)
Target Manager (Google is your friend)
EBOOT.BIN (You can find it here, https://www.obscuregamers.com/threads/nfs-rivals-ps3-pre-alpha-build.1895/ )

  1. Download a prototype version of Rivals and extract it to C:\NFS\Date of Build\

Here is an example of the file structure,

  1. Copy the EBOOT.BIN and overwrite it in the USRDIR,

  1. Go to C:\NFS\9-3-2013\FROSTTEST\FROSTTEST\USRDIR\SCRIPTS and open Ps3Game.cfg with notepad or another text editor

Add “-level HP2” at the end

Save it!

  1. Open Target Manager (I’m assuming you have already added your PS3 to TM)
  2. Right click on your target and click on properties,

6.Under File server directory and Home Directory, choose C:\NFS\9-3-2013\FROSTTEST\FROSTTEST\USRDIR for both

Click ok.

Right Click your target again, choose Reset Mode Debug Mode then click on Reset,

Once your PS3 is in debug mode, right click your target and Choose Load and Run Executable,

Navigate to C:\NFS\9-3-2013\FROSTTEST\FROSTTEST\USRDIR and choose Race.Main_Ps3_release.self

Now click Open

Your PS3 will now reboot and load the game

just a quick note: that EBOOT.BIN OP Linked up there is from July build and it is actually identical to Race.Main_Ps3_retail.self.
I used almost same method to play on my ps3 but gonna say that this one is much more comfortable.
It is applicable for all builds too.
To solve problem going into freeroam in July build, I used this method which almost always does not work:1584292509551.png
Other way to do this is to use pre-patched EBOOT which was shared by Demon, but I wasn't able to boot it. If someone is interested in it. i will leave a link here: (thanks to @jason098 for uploading it) https://mega.nz/#!N8hUxIoJ!UDMDLhqtFC_43oD1j1120f7iW3UH5VbRV5gzxfMn5g8

The console just blackscreens. No matter what I do. This is actually starting to piss me off, it's a perfectly functional devkit with ProDG clearly connected, the console is in debugger mode, the build works when loaded with webman.
But through Prodigy it just. Fucking. Crashes.
Whether or not I use the eboot linked or the original one, blackscreen.
